If you live in the United Kingdom, you'll probably already realise that
the range of Caller ID modems that support UK Caller ID (as used by British
Telecom and Virgin) is virtually nil. UK software can supply
you with a Caller ID capture device which
connects between a spare Com port (RS232) and your telephone socket,
which will then send caller ID data to your computer so that Whos Calling
will function properly. Our caller ID plug has been proven to work with
BT and Virgin in the UK.
Customers are also reporting that our kit is working fine in the USA
too, so feel free to order if you live in the USA.
*Please note that because the CTI Meteor is not a
modem you cannot use the call blocking feature of Whos Calling with this
device.
